As we know, Iran is an Islamic country and respect for Islamic laws in this country is important. These Islamic dress codes also apply to foreign tourists who intend to travel to Iran. Therefore, it is necessary to know and respect to the rules before facing any problems that can be caused by not observing these rules.

But the good news is that these rules are easier to enforce for foreign tourists.

All you need is to know:
According to the law in Iran,

Men cannot wear shorts in any public area (even in summer and on the beach) and to cover their body must wear a T-shirt that has sleeves at least up to the elbows.

Women should use a scarf to cover their hair. They cannot wear short-sleeved T-shirts and must wear clothes that cover up to the wrists. And pants should be long and cover up to the ankles.
