Hasht Behesht Palace is a historic palace in the city of Isfahan, which was built during the Safavid period in 1669. The palace building is built on two floors in the middle of a large garden. This palace was once called the most beautiful palace in the world. The first school in Isfahan is the Hasht Behesht Palace, known as the Homayouni School.
The large garden in which the mansion is located was part of the large garden of the role of Naghshe-e Jahan, which was built by Shah Ismail I and in the time of his successors, especially Shah Abbas I, was divided into several parts.
Hasht Behesht Heaven Palace existed during the reign of Shah Safi, and during the reign of the following two kings, Shah Abbas II and Shah Suleiman, trees were added to this beautiful garden.
According to some historians, the garden housed eight of the king’s wives, four of whom lived on the ground floor and four on the first floor.
This two-story building with beautiful arches and many decorations is one of the shining examples of Safavid architecture. The bedrooms on the first floor in the four corners of the mansion are decorated with bedding and paintings. On the second floor of the mansion, a series of porches, rooms, arches and windows add to its beauty.
